Immediate Life Support (ILS) Courses
Resuscitation Council UK Accredited | CPD Certified | Tailored to the attendees with optional target teaching such as Sedation-Specific Target Training for Dental Clinics or Mental Health Specific scenarios.
Our Immediate Life Support (ILS) courses prepare healthcare professionals to manage medical emergencies, including cardiac arrest and peri-arrest scenarios. Fully accredited by the Resuscitation Council UK (RCUK), these courses are tailored for the candidates attending and can include sedation-specific scenarios, ETCO2 monitoring, and airway management including i-gel, making them ideal for dental sedation environments.
We offer
- Full ILS (1 Day) – for new candidates or those whose certificate has expired
- ILS Recertification (Half Day) – for those due for formal RCUK renewal (evidence of valid certificate required)
Full ILS Course – 1 Day
For: First-time candidates or those with expired ILS certification
This full-day course provides in-depth training in the recognition and management of medical emergencies and cardiac arrest in a team-based setting.
Course Highlights:
· • ABCDE assessment of the deteriorating patient
· • Adult BLS and safe AED use
· • Airway management techniques, including:
- Oropharyngeal airways
- i-gel supraglottic airway
- Two-person BVM ventilation
· • Team leadership and communication (SBAR handover)
· • Dental sedation-specific simulations, including:
- Sedation-related collapse
- Anaphylaxis, seizure, and hypoglycaemia
· • ETCO2 monitoring in sedation settings
Certification: RCUK ILS Provider Certificate (valid 1 year)
Duration: 1 full day (approx. 6.5 hours CPD)
ILS Recertification – Half Day
For: Candidates holding a current, valid ILS certificate who are due for formal recertification
